Suggested Answer for CA-IPCC ITSM paper - May / June 2019

Dear friends,

At-last exams are done. I hope you all might have done well for your exams. 

This post is exclusively to share my thoughts on ITSM (Old syllabus) paper for May / June 2019 attempt :

Regarding IT :

1) For the first time, ICAI have asked 6 Marks question in IT paper, which in my opinion is a welcome move. This will reduce the number of questions which are to be asked. 

2) All the questions were direct questions [except question 2(a) ]

3) MCQ part ( as per students  feedback) - was very easy and majority were covered from our MCQ book. 

4) Glad to inform you that  27 MARKS our of 45 Marks (excluding MCQ's) were covered from our probable question list which i have shared earlier on my BLOG.

5 ) Suggested answers are attached for your reference . Suggested Answers for IT - June 2019 paper  

6 ) Only regret a student might have is FLOWCHART question, not being tested. 

Regarding SM :

1) For the first time in the history of SM paper,  all the questions in Main paper were Straight forward  and were equally asked for 5 Marks.  At one time it appeared as if i was reading a B.COM question paper. (Though, quality of questions were high 😊] 

2) Even an average student can attempt all questions if he has basic knowledge of the concept.  Would be interesting to see, whether ICAI will maintain this pattern in future papers also.

3) Glad to inform you that  35 MARKS our of 45 Marks (excluding MCQ's) were covered from our probable question list which i have shared earlier.

4) Again MCQ part ( as per students  feedback) - was very easy and majority were covered from our MCQ book. 

5) Since all questions were straight forward, for answers refer our material.

So in totality our probable questions covered 62 Marks from 90 Marks paper. A satisfied feeling. Hope this would have benefited many students.
